We are open!

Starting Tuesday, June 2, 2020, the Monson Public Library will be open for “pick-up only” on Tuesdays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and Saturdays from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

You can phone (997-3476) or email (monsonmelibrary@gmail.com) to request materials. Staff will call or email you back when your items are ready. At this time library doors will remain locked and patrons will not have access inside. Requested items with the patron’s name will be bagged and placed on a cart outside the main entrance doors under the portico. Items that have not been picked up by closing will be brought back inside.

You can place items that you are returning in the library book drop. They will be collected and quarantined before being recirculated.

If you would like to browse the Monson collection online, you can search the catalog by visiting mainebalsamlibraries.org/catalog. If you have a user name and password, log in. If you don’t, click Members Only, then click New User Registration. Under Library, click Monson.

The interlibrary loan program is not currently operational.

Free WiFi remains available 24/7 in the library parking lot.

Maintaining safety of patrons and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic remains the library’s first priority. We thank you for your understanding and patience. We will continue to plan for our eventual reopening and will provide further information as it becomes available.
